I attended the premiere of the second season of MDE’s show, titled ‘Extreme Peace’ at the Cutting Room in NYC, and it was a lot of fun. Originally I was planning on going with a friend from high school but he was busy so I found a random dude from a 4chan adjacent discord server to come with me and he was pretty cool. The energy at the venue felt electric and the show was really funny. I got a cheeseburger with bacon there which was also pretty good.
Seeing people in real life who you’ve watched online for years is a strange experience. Sometimes I forget that the people who I follow online are real people and not just characters. I think I would only interact with an e-celebrity person if there was a reason for me to. I don’t want to go out of my way to do so because I don’t know what I would say and I fear that they don’t want to be bothered.
Before the show we walked around the city and went to Bryant Park which had some pretty nice views. Coming from New Jersey, it’s nice that you can sit on the grass in NYC and not worry about getting tick bites since there aren’t any deer walking around.
