I attended the premiere of the second season of MDE’s show, titled ‘Extreme Peace’ at the Cutting Room in NYC, and it was a lot of fun. Originally I was planning on going with a friend from high school but he was busy so I found a random dude from a 4chan adjacent discord server to come with me and he was pretty cool. The energy at the venue felt electric and the show was really funny.

I attended VCF (Vintage Computer Federation) East 2025 and had a great time learning about retro-computing. I went with my dad since I couldn’t find anyone else who was interested in going with me so he wanted to keep me company while I was there, even though he’s not into computers himself, which was nice of him. The event took place at the InfoAge Science and History Museums, a former military base in Wall Township, NJ, so we got to learn a little bit about history and military equipment alongside the vintage computers.

A challenge I’ve frequently faced while using social media platforms like Discord or YouTube is standing out in the crowd of thousands of users and comments. These platforms generally don’t utilize methods to reward thoughtful discourse, but instead promote whatever garners the most short-term attention (spamming memes or generic responses). That left me wondering how I could programmatically boost the amount of attention that my messages get. After brainstorming some ways of accomplishing this, I decided to create a browser extension that prepends a string to the beginning of each post to visually distinguish them.
